It was a bittersweet conclusion to a construction project that once looked like the first step toward a much-needed economic boost.
Hurricane Katrina changed many things. Many of those changes were made to ensure there is never another tragedy like Katrina.
A car show and community festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 5 at Yellow Bayou Park in Simmesport.
We are looking for bus drivers from Avoyelles Parish who traveled to New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to pick up evacuees.
