Minnie Dubea Mitchell, age 83, of Mansura

MANSURA - Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Dubea Mitchell will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mansura with Father Irion St. Romain officiating. Entombment will be in St. Paul Mausoleum in Mansura. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Mitchell, age 83, of Mansura, passed away at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Friday, January 29, 2016. Mitchell was born on January 1, 1933. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, owned and operated Mitchell’s Grocery Store in Mansura for many years, and retired as a teacher’s aide from the Avoyelles Parish School Board. Her greatest joy was cooking Sunday dinner for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amedy and Mable Desselle Dubea, and husband, Henry Mitchell.
Survivors include her sons, David (Pam) Mitchell of Marksville, Wayne (Becky) Michel of Mansura, daughter, Janice (David) Gauthier of Hessmer; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Bradley Gauthier, Heath Michel, Corey Michel, Derrick Manuel, Larry Dubea, and Mike Mitchel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Parlor A of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
