Lionel Richard Sr. passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Avoyelles Hospital. He was 72. He was a resident of Batchelor, La., and a native of Melville, La. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015, at St. Mary Baptist Church, Highway 1, Lettsworth, La. Interment will be in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters: Claudette Richard Smith & Jessica Richard; a son: Lionel Richard Jr.; a brother: Jearl Richard; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends including Odelia Richard.
