Geneva Marie (Roy) Smith

Funeral services for Geneva Smith, 88, resident of Hessmer, will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 beginning at 10:30am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 03, 2015 beginning at 5pm until 10pm and will resume Tuesday morning at 8am at the Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Burial will be held at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer. Burial will be held at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home. 
Ms. Smith passed away, August 1, 2015 at the Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Smith, Sr.; her parents, Pierre and Eugenia (Bordelon) Roy; sisters, Ruth Guillory and Theresa Guillot; brothers, Richard and Earl Roy. She is survived by her sons, Samuel ''Sam'' E. and his wife Betty Smith and Kenneth Smith both of Hessmer; sister, Ramona Gauthier of Hessmer, twelve grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, & 2 great-great-grandchildren.
