Eunice Marie Guillory, age 99, of Metairie

Metairie - A Funeral Mass for Eunice Marie Guillory was held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in Metairie at 1 p.m. Interment followed at Garden of Memories in Metairie.
Eunice Marie Guillory, age 99 after 13 years at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, only 10 months shy of becoming a centenarian.
She was a resident of Metairie since 1949 and was a native of Plaucheville where she was raised speaking Cajun French in the house and amongst her family and friends. She was married to Charles P. Guillory for over 60 years.
She was a longtime member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Metairie. Eunice had a passion for cooking for others and enjoyed sharing family meals. She loved to sew, quilt and to have coffee in the afternoon with her sisters and neighborhood friends in Metairie. She was also an avid soap opera fan. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
She is preceded by her husband, Charles P. Guillory; her son, Deryl P. Guillory;and nine other siblings.
She is survived by one son, Melvin A. Guillory; her two loving daughters-in-law, Suzanne Hug Guillory and Bella Weidner Guillory; her youngest sister, Agnes Guillory Desselles; four grandchildren Daren, Brandi, Marshall, and Stephen; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
