Clemen Joseph Bordelon age 88 of Alexandria

A Mass of Christian Burial for Clemen Joseph Bordelon will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville. Mr. Bordelon, age 88, of Alexandria, born and raised in Fifth Ward, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon and Linda Manuel Bordelon; wife, Nellie Borell Bordelon; numerous brothers and sisters.

He was a U. S. Navy and Army Veteran. He was a volunteer at the Veteran's Administration for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Linda Pena and husband Valentin of Plaucheville, Kathy Bordelon and husband Burton of Lettsworth, Cindy St. Romain and husband Paul of Sorrento, LA; two stepdaughters, Genise Borrell and Kathy Normand and husband Ray of Hessmer; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before service.
