Benford "Benny" Germany age 61 of Tioga

Funeral services for Benford "Benny" Germany will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with the Reverends James Foster and Wayne Sibley officiating. Interment will be at Paul Cemetery in Deville, Louisiana under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pineville, Louisiana.

Mr. Germany, 61, of Tioga, left this earth to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 18, 2015 at his residence.

Benny was born in Houston, TX to Clinton Benford and Mary Etta Bradford Germany. He graduated from Block High School in 1971. Benny had a career in the oil industry many years after graduation. Eventually, he went to Louisiana State University in Alexandria where he graduated with a degree in nursing. After graduation, he worked in Columbia, Louisiana at Riverbend Hospital for 3 years as a staff nurse then promoted to DON, then to Hospital Administrator. Benny then worked for 18 years at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a charge nurse during the last 15 years at RRMC in ICU. He was also involved in direct sales in the past in which he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. Benny had a very kind heart and a great sense of humor. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clinton Benford Germany; mother, Mary Etta Germany; sister, Maude Germany Evans; brother, Michael Germany; niece, Mary Elaine Germany.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vicki Barker Germany; three sons, Clinton Benford "Ben" Germany (Kimberly) of Marksville, Jonathan Michael Germany of Deville and Christopher Ryan Germany of Tioga; three grandchildren, Jazzmyn Germany, Emma Rose Germany and Greyson Germany; siblings, Thomas Germany (Sherri) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Frankie Germany (Karen) of Olla, Jessica Kerber (Marty) of Eden Prairie, MN, Bonnie Barbosa (Joe) of Colorado Springs, CO, Suzzan Saucier (Scott) of Little Elm, TX and Mary Black of San Antonio, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers happy to serve will be Larry Brinley, Danny Jackson, Ross Beach, Tom Smith, Tom Greer and Nolan McCool. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donny Barker, Mike Arringdale, Darrell Landry and Danny Miller.

Special thanks to Journey Hospice for the wonderful care and the many visits from family and dear friends who loved him so dearly.

Friends may visit with the family at Rush Funeral Home in Pineville on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
