Two Hospitalized After Shooting At Bunkie Social Club

Three suspects surrendered Monday morning

UPDATE: All three suspects turned themselves in Monday morning and are being held in the parish jail.

ORIGINAL STORY:
According to Sheriff Anderson an early morning fight at Club Visions in Bunkie ended with two people being transported to Bunkie General Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Sheriff Anderson said his deputies were notified at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning of multiple shots being fired at Club Visions located on Hwy. 29 East of Bunkie. Sheriff Anderson said his deputies responded and learned the two injured people were transported to Bunkie general hospital by friends and subsequently transported to an Alexandria hospital for further medical treatment. According to Sheriff Anderson one victim was shot in the throat and buttocks and the other was shot in the calf. Both victims are expected to make full recoveries.  Investigators believe that what began as a verbal altercation turned violent with gunshots fired. It is yet to be determined if the victims were the actual intended targets of the shots fired.

The Sheriff stated that his detectives developed three persons of interest through both eye witness and video evidence and Warrants for their arrest have been obtained through the 12th Judicial District Court.

The three suspects wanted in connection with this shooting are as follows:

Trae Dawayne Williams (B/M, DOB 3/31/1996, 155 Chauffepied Elmer Road, Marksville) for 2 counts entitled “Attempt” “Second degree murder”. 

Taji Rashad Simon Jr. (B/M, DOB 7/31/1998, 475 Highway 1192, Marksville) for 2 counts “Principals”, and 2 counts entitled “Attempt” “Second degree Murder”.     

Arnandez Dealfonzo Francisco (B/M, DOB 2/11/1997, 770 Glenda Drive, Marksville) for 2 counts “Principals”, and 2 counts entitled “Attempt” “Second degree murder”
 Anyone with knowledge as to their whereabouts are urged to contact the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office immediately at 318-253-4000 or their local law enforcement agency. These individuals are considered dangerous and there is a great possibility armed.
