MHS grad new FFA state parliamentarian

Marksville High student Wesley Wilson broke a 38-year dry spell this year when he was elected state FFA parliamentarian at the organization’s convention in Monroe this past school year.
Wilson graduated from Marksville High in May.
There were eight MHS students elected to state FFA offices before him, but Wilson is the first since Angelo Piazza III served as state sentinel in 1977.
Wilson is the son of Anthony and Angela Wilson of Marksville. He plans to pursue a college degree in a field related to either agriculture or culinary arts.
He served for two years as an FFA Area officer and was also the MHS chapter president under advisor James Deshautelle.
His other FFA achievements include competing in Parliamentary Law competitions for five years, serving as team chairman. He has also influenced many students to become FFA members and become active in serving their communities.
