Alexandria police arrest Marksville woman in her impounded car

A Marksville woman was arrested by Alexandria police Wednesday afternoon after she entered a tow yard and attempted to drive her impounded car away without paying the fees.
Ashley Hope Descant Daigrepont, 32, was sitting in her car when police responded to a report of a public disturbance.
An employee of the towing company reported Daigrepont entered the secured area of the lot, where impounded vehicles are kept. The employee said she was trying to take her car without paying the fees.
When officers attempted to talk to Daigrepont, she started her car and refused to get out. She later exited the car.
She was booked into Rapides Parish Detention Center on a charge of simple burglary under a $3,500 bond.
