MARKSVILLE - Funeral services for Virginia Lachney of Marksville will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 beginning at 10 a.m. at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Interment will commence in the St. Joe #2 Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home. 
Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 1, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
Virginia Lachney, age 77, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Colonial Nursing Home in Marksville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Della Jeansonne Ponthieux, Sr.; sister, Janett Saucier; and brothers, Adolph “A.J.” Ponthieux and Clarence Ponthieux, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 31 years, Irvin Wayne of Marksville; sons, Jessie Hopkins of Pineville, Blaine Hopkins of Florida, and James Hopkins of Virginia; three sisters, Peggy Ponthieux of Simmesport, Iris Evans of Ball and Grace Karrigan of LaPlace; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
