Virginia Dauzat, age 63, of Plaucheville

PLAUCHEVILLE - Memorial services for Virginia Dauzat of Plaucheville will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Saturday, December 10, 2016 beginning at 1 p.m. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will also be held that day beginning at 11 a.m.
Virginia Dauzat, age 63, passed away at her home on Friday, December 2, 2016. She was born on October 2, 1953.
Virginia was born to Vance and Judith Deaville on October 2, 1953. She graduated from Cottonport High School in 1971. In that same year, on April 16, she married the love of her life, Radford Dauzat, of Brouillette. They went on many adventures together during Radford's time in the United States Air Force, traveling all over the globe. Once they returned to Baton Rouge, she became a mother and devoted herself to her two children- Tanya and Scott. In recent years, Virginia and Radford moved home to Avoyelles Parish. She was a devout Christian and a member of Dupont Baptist Church. She was very active in her community- including the quilting club of Cottonport- and always helped out anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vance Deaville.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Radford Dauzat of Plaucheville; children, Tanya (Mikal) Crawford of Denham Springs, and Scott (Megan) Dauzat of Hammond; grandchildren, Austin Palmer, Andrew Crawford, and Elizabeth Dauzat; mother, Judith Dupre; brothers, Larry Deaville, Thomas Deaville, and James Deaville.
