Ruby Jean Bourgeois Smith, age 89, of Marksville

MARKSVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruby Jean Bourgeois Smith were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville with Reverend Rusty Rabalais officiating. Entombment was in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 Mausoleum in Marksville.
Ms. Smith, 89, of Marksville, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the home of her niece, Dawn Mathews, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 22, 1927.
  She was retired from Piggly Wiggly in Marksville. She was a life-long member of the choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Juneau, Prentise Bourgeois and Carl Smith; daughter, Cheryl Ann Juneau; parents, Cilton Gremillion and Cora Jeansonne; brothers, Venix Gremillion and Alfred Gremillion; sister, Rosemary Adams; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Morrow.
  Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Dawn (Terry) Mathews, Cindy (Allen) James, Lynell (Robert) Foret, Janet (Jeff) Steffenauer, Darnell (Dickie) Dean, Cheryl (A. J.) Chicola, and Lisa Gremillion; nephews, Virgil (Paula) Adams, Kirk (Judy) Adams, Kenny (Linn) Gremillion, Marvin “Moe” Adams, and Bruce Gremillion; cousins, Gary (Priscilla) Morrow, Maureen (Doyle) Malone; and numerous nieces, nephews, step-children, and step grandchildren. Her family lovingly knew her as “Auntee.”
  Pallbearers honored to serve include Kenny Gremillion, T.J. Mathews, Eric Adams, Marvin “Moe” Adams, Glen Leger, and Craig LaBorde.
