Robert "Bob" Howell Wallace Sr., 73, of Milton, Fla.

Robert "Bob" Howell Wallace Sr., 73, of Milton, Fla., passed away March 24, 2015 after
a lengthy illness.

Mr. Wallace was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Summit, the son of Louis Howell and Bernice Allred Wallace.

After a successful career with Gulfco Investments, in Marksville, La., Bob moved to Baton Rouge and co-founded the Continental Mortgage Company, which grew to maintain offices throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. In later years, Bob retired to Florida fulfilling one of his lifelong dreams.

He will be remembered most for his happiness and kindness, his unending generosity and his enthusiasm for and his love of life. He took care of everyone.

Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his paternal grandparents, Pat William and Ida Williams Wallace; maternal grandparents, James Walsh and Fannie Francis Moak Allred; one son, Robert "Sam" Howell Wallace Jr.; his beloved brother and best friend, Louis Jerry Wallace; and one sister, Brenda Wallace Deer.

Survivors include an extended family: his wife, Judy R. Wallace, 5 sons, Jeff (Heikje) of Wittlich, Germany; Michael Craft and wife Janet; Carl Palasota and partner, Don Morgan of Baton Rouge, LA; Daryl (Debbie) Craft of Livingston, LA; and Newt Conn of Pensacola; one daughter Lynne Conn of Ferriday; one sister, Helen (Art) Wiley Robbins of Westlake, LA; one brother-in-law, Henry Deer, five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
