COTTONPORT - Graveside services for Marjorie “Margie” Gullett of Cottonport will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Bayou Rouge Baptist Cemetery in Evergreen. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 31, 2016 beginning at 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Bayou Rouge Baptist Church in Evergreen.
Margie Gullett, age 90, passed away at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria on Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was born on October 8, 1926.
Margie enjoyed tending to her garden, cooking and enjoying her favorite meals, and the pleasure of shopping. She kept her Bible close at all times and had a close relationship with God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Y.D. Gullett; grandson, Kipp Gullett; parents, Elgy Pierre and Marie Louise Ortego; sisters, Earlene, Teresa, Olean, and Rucy; brothers, Elson, Franklin, Webster, Joe Delaney, and Marian Delaney.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Pete (Georgiann) Gullett of Alexandria and granddaughter, Leigh Anne Gullett of Frisco, Texas.
