MOREAUVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Kevin Joseph Dauzat, Sr. will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moreauville with Father Jose Pallipurath officiating. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Moreauville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until shortly before funeral.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Dauzat, age 59, of Moreauville, formerly of Fifth Ward, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. He was born on September 10, 1957.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyson J. Dauzat.
Those left to cherish his memory include his fiancée, Wendy Anderson of Moreauville; one son, Kevin Joseph (Jennifer) Dauzat, Jr. of Bunkie; daughters, Kaylon Dauzat (Vance) Bordelon of Fifth Ward, Whitney Anderson (Cole) DeLasalle of West Monroe; mother, Stella Dauzat of Fifth Ward; six brothers, Lyson Dauzat, Jr. of Fifth Ward, John Dauzat of Hessmer, Donald Wayne Dauzat of Fifth Ward, Arthur Dauzat of Echo, James Dauzat of Texas, Odelious (Paul Lee) Dauzat of Echo; two sisters, Carolyn Lee of Fifth Ward and JoAnn Ewing of Fifth Ward; eight grandchildren; stepmother, Maxine Dauzat of Pineville; step-siblings, Rickie McCalister of Natchitoches and Vickie Clifton of Pineville.
Pallbearers honored to serve will his brothers, Lyson, John, Donald Wayne, Arthur, James and Odelious. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua and Joey Lacombe. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren.
