Judey M. Vaughn, age 62, of Effie

Funeral services for Mrs. Judey M. Vaughn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Winifred Catholic Church in Effie with Father Wade DeCoste officiating. Burial will be held at St. Winifred Cemetery, Effie. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Judey M. Vaughn, age 62, of Effie, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Vaughn was born July 28, 1953 in Effie, Louisiana and raised in this community. After her marriage to Robert W. Vaughn, she moved and settled in Lecompte. She bore and raised four children. She was a stay at home mother, but still found time to run the office of her shared business, Vaughn Flying Service. Later in life she returned to her place of birth in Effie.

Mrs. Vaughn enjoyed outdoor life. She loved to fish and enjoyed hunting trips to Arkansas. She was a great cook and especially loved to cook ducks. She enjoyed watching old movies and loved old time country music. Her favorite thing of all was to dance. She could dance to anything. She was a loving mother to all four of her children.

Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her father, Henry McNeal, her mother, Florida McNeal and one grandson, Avery Vaughn.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Robert W. Vaughn II and wife, Kyla of Alexandria, Leland Vaughn of Effie; daughters, Diane Vaughn of Lecompte, Heather Vaughn of Lecompte; two brothers, Jerrel McNeal and wife Shirley of Marksville, Terrell McNeal and wife Glenda of Effie; two sisters, Gloria Matkin and husband Frank of Pineville, Charlene McNeal and husband Don Covington of Effie.

Mrs. Vaughn had 13 grandchildren as follows: Kayla Courville, Davis Courville, Dylan Courville, Amber Vaughn, Chandler Thompson, Meranda Vaughn, Chase Lemoine, Colton Elliott, Hunter Vaughn, Aspen Vaughn, Taylor Levasseur, Nikole Vaughn, Skylar Vaughn, and a host of family and friends including a beloved niece Brenda Matkin of Pineville.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Vaughn are Robert W. Vaughn II, Danny Ray Matkin, Dennis McNeal, Chance Bordelon, Christopher Matkin, and Chase Lemoine.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
