Glenda Hickman, age 71, of Deville

Services for Glenda Hickman will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2016, at Holloway Baptist Church with Dr. Jack West and Rev. Kevin Paul officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2016 until 9:00 PM and from 8:00 AM until time of services in the Church on Friday. Interment will follow at Holloway Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

Mrs. Hickman, 71, of Deville, entered eternal rest on February 29, 2016 at the Oaks Care Center, Alexandria, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Glenda was a devout Christian woman. Her hobbies include writing poems and songs, spending time with her family as well as cooking for them, especially on Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elmer Roberts Mabou and Joseph Sylvester Mabou and one brother, Joseph Sylvester Mabou, Jr.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her husband of 51 years, Alvin L. Hickman of Deville; 3 daughters, Shelia Gurganus and husband Steve of Deville, Lisa Borrel and husband Rene of Marksville and Tammy Parker and husband Shannon of Deville; 2 brothers, Marvin Mabou and wife Vera of Deville and Adam Mabou of Deville; 2 sisters, Joyce Cole and husband Willis of Deville and Mary Lois Paul of Ball; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Glenda will be laid to rest by pallbearers, Derrick Ryder, Daniel Parker, Brett Parker, Mike Guadagnoli, Dave Guadagnoli and Rickey Cole.
