Delories Elmira Bell Lanehart, age 54, passed peacefully from this life to her eternal home on the afternoon of Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home. She was surrounded and supported by her loving husband and family. While we are uncertain of why she departed this life, we are confident that when God says, ''Old thy good and faithful servant well done, come now and enter unto they rest, we who believe on Him know we will see her again.
She was born on November 10, 1962.
Mrs. Lanehart was a life-long resident of Lettsworth, Louisiana, but periodically lived in New Orleans only to return to her home town. She was baptized at an early age in 1969 by the late Reverend Henry of the Tree of Life Baptist Church. She was honored to serve as the church’s secretary and lived a life as a devout Christian. She was a graduate of Pointe Coupee High School where she developed her talents as a pianist. She attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, but soon realized her calling was in nursing.
