Betty Barnett Drew, 88, of Alexandria

Funeral Services for Betty Barnett Drew will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. David Boothe officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
Betty Barnett Drew, 88, of Alexandria, passed away on Wednesday, September 02, 2015, at Lexington House.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Minnie Mae Barnett; her first husband, H. Preston Caillouet; and one grandson, Benjamin Joseph Bruyninckx.
Betty was born in Lumberton, MS; and was a graduate in Accounting from the University of Mississippi. Betty was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority while attending Ole Miss. She later moved to Alexandria to raise her family. Betty started a career with KALB T.V. as a Copy Writer. She owned and operated the Name Dropper Boutique, was employed with Gus Kaplan overseeing the purchasing of the women’s clothing line, and later worked with John Huffman Fine Jewelry Store. Betty then retired to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a devout Christian and a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of Alexandria. She loved spending time in her yard, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing cards.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Bebe Drew Bordelon and her husband David of Fifth Ward; her grandchildren, Matthew Preston Bruyninckx and his wife Carrie of Alexandria, Lindsay Bruyninckx Ryland and her husband Blake of Marksville, Adam Bordelon and his wife Lakyn of Cottonport, and Jacob Bordelon of Cottonport; and great grandchildren, Weston Dewitt, Owen Bruyninckx, Ainsley Bordelon and Giana Ryland.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Bill Lee, Justin Vanlandingham, Blake Ryland, Adam Bordelon, Jacob Bordelon, Jackie Adams, and Westin Dewitt.
