Alton C. Ducote, age 82, of Lakeland

A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, Al passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 82. He was a retired Pharmaceutical Representative with Pfizer Laboratories, Inc. A native of Simmesport, La and resident of Lakeland; he was a US Navy Veteran. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 9am until Rite of Christian Burial at 11am, conducted by Deacon Bob McDonner. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Terri and husband Dr. Kevin Sittig, Carla and husband Dennis Linscomb, and Stacie and husband Russell Granier; sons, Dale Ducote and wife Jennifer, and Kurt Ducote and wife Christy; grandchildren, Dr. Ashley Sittig Baker and husband Dr. Stephen Baker, Dr. Amanda Sittig Bernard and husband Dr. Brennan Bernard, Taylor Sittig and wife Cate, John Robert Linscomb, III, Ellis E. Ducote, Emily Granier Lapointe and husband Alexander Lapointe, Margaret and Shelby Granier, Alaina Gaudin, Ada, Grace and Camryn Ducote; great grandchildren, Jackson Lapointe, Rose Baker, Parker and Graham Bernard; and special friend, Phoebe Thompson. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Rosemary Ramagos Ducote; parents, George and Effie Ducote; and sister, Narcille Barbe. Pallbearers will be Taylor Sittig, John Robert Linscomb, III, Dr. Stephen Baker, Dr. Brennan Bernard, Alexander Lapointe, Dr. Kevin Sittig, Dennis Linscomb and Russell Granier.
