It’s Halloween!
Is it just us, or is that a skeletal face at the front left corner of the gallows trapdoor on the 4th Floor of the Avoyelles Parish Courthouse? It’s probably just us.
The place where malefactors were once hanged for their crimes, and this room directly beneath where they took their last steps, is considered to be one of the most haunted places in the parish. {Photo by Raymond L. Daye}
