Darden then lost control of the vehicle and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle began overturning.

Darden received moderate injuries as a result of the crash. His passenger, identified as Ayesha Davis (33 yrs), was pronounced dead.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

If you experience a tire failure (blowout) while driving don’t apply the brakes initially. After you have regained control of your vehicle then apply the brakes softly. Concentrate on steering, allow the car to slow down gradually, and then steer the vehicle off the road. The type of vehicle you are driving will play a major role in your ability to maintain control. If you are mentally prepared for an emergency, chances are you will respond appropriately.
