Possible Tornado in Avoyelles

A possible tornado is being reported by radar in northern Avoyelles Parish.  The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning until 9:15 PM.  Radar reports a tornado between Deville and Centerpoint moving southeast toward Moncla and Brouillette.  Large hail is also expected in this area.  At this time, no tornado has been reported.

As of 9:00PM, the 911 Center has not received any reports of damage.

A Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the NWS for northeast Avoyelles Parish until 9:30 PM.  At 9:00, the storm was located near Brouillette moving east at 40 MPH.  A Tornado Watch for Avoyelles Parish remains in effect until 3:00AM. 

Another line of rain has recently formed northwest of Alexandria toward Toledo Bend and is dropping to the southeast.
