Possible Severe Weather in Avoyelles

A severe thunderstorm warning has been in effect for northern Rapides Parish.  A line of strong to severe thunderstorms has been moving southeast through Louisiana.  The storm is capable of producing quarter size hail.  Golf ball sized hail has been reported south of Natchitoches, Louisiana.  Strong, winds, lightning and heavy rain is possible. Storm is moving east at 30 MPH. While no warnings have been issued yet for Avoyelles, it would not be surprising to see some issued in the near future.   Please stay alert.  We will keep you updated throughout the evening.
