LA Hwy 1 lane closure notice

The La. Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that on Friday (June 5) the intersection of LA 452 (Preston Street) and LA 1 (Tunica Drive) in Marksville will be closed on the east side of LA 1 to allow the contractor to construct the northbound widening. Traffic flow on LA 1 will be otherwise unaffected.
The intersection of LA 452 and LA 1 will be completely closed on the east side of LA 1. Northbound traffic will continue on LA 1 until reaching LA 1189 (Acton Road) and proceed east on LA 1189 to LA 452. Southbound traffic will continue on LA 452 to LA 1189 and proceed west on LA 1189 to LA 1.
The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
The DOTD appreciates the public’s patience and reminds drivers to drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
