49 of 49 precincts report in October 24 election
With all 49 precincts reporting in,
State Reprenstative Robert Johnson will remain in his Dist. 28 seated winning 75% of the votes. Brian Bordelon received 25%.
Sheriff Doug Anderson will remain Sheriff of Avoyelles defeating his opponents with 54% of the votes. Eddie Andrus received 28% and John Johnson took in 18%.
Heath Pastor has been voted the new Avoyelles Parish Assessor, replacing retiring Assessor Emeric Dupuy, with 75% of the vote. His opponent Scotty Scott 25%.
Clerk of Court Connie Couvillon will also remain in her seat with 56% of the overall vote. Opponent Chad Guillot received 32% and Norma Lemoine took in 12%.
Police Juror in Dist. 1 will be Marsha Roszell Wiley with 62%. Angelo Piazza, Jr. received 17% and James Paul Luneau took in 21% in the Dist. 1 race.
Trent Clark will take his seat on the jury in Dist. 7 with 61%. His opponent Gary Plauche received 39%.
Dr. Henry Moreau will become Police Juror for Dist. 9 with 80% of the vote. His opponent Troy Tassin received 20%.
The Marksville fire protection tax renewal was also approved with 68% in favor of the renewal and 32% against the renewal.
