Bunkie High celebrates Homecoming this week

Bunkie High School is celebrating homecoming for 2016 this week.
Homecoming events started Sunday (Sept. 25) for the Homecoming Court with the first annual Court Tea Party, held at the home of Dr. Don and Jackie Hines. Mothers accompanied the girls to the event.
Homecoming week will feature dress-up days at the school with themes as follows:
Monday, “Old Timers Day;”
Tuesday, “Camo Day;”
Wed., “Bleacher Creatures;”
Thursday, “Multi-Color Day;”
Friday, “Fire Up Your Panther Spirit.”
The Homecoming parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, starting in the former Winn-Dixie parking lot on S. Main Street, traveling down Main to Evergreen Street and then back to the school campus. A mini pep rally will follow the parade at 7 p.m. at the football field.
The Homecoming queen and her court will be crowned during halftime of the football game when the Bunkie Panthers host the Montgomery Tigers in a non-district game.
