Marksville police arrest 11 on drug-related charges

Marksville Police arrested 11 individuals on various drug-related charges on Tuesday (Oct. 18).
City Narcotics Division agents, patrol officers and K-9 units participated in the citywide sweep that ended with the arrests on Tuesday. The officers also confiscated cash and vehicles believed linked to drug sales activity in Marksville.
The arrests were the results of a 10-month investigation focusing on known drug deals in the city. All suspects were booked into Avoyelles Detention Center #1 in Marksville.
Those arrested include Dontravius Clark, 25, of Frank St. in Moreauville, distribution of CDS IV and two counts of distribution of CDS 1.
Those with Marksville addresses include: Eric Carter, 38, of Sunny Ave., three counts of distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) I ; Leron Channel, 25, of Roy St., three counts of distribution of CDS I; Guy Desselle, 41, of Spring Bayou Rd., distribution of CDS II, two counts of possession of CDS II; Raven James, 22, of Roy St., distribution of CDS II; Leandre Johnson, 32, of Andrus St., contempt of court and two counts of distribution of CDS II; Zachary Taylor Lee, 20, of Spring Bayou Road, possession of CDS II and CDS IV; Cindy Leslie, 38, of Legion Dr., possession of CDS II with intent to distribute; Mary Slocum, 41, of Spring Bayou Rd., distribution of CDS II; Michael Slocum, 80, of Spring Bayou Rd., distribution of CDS II; and David Voorhies, 38, of Legion Dr., possession of CDS II with intent to distribute.
