Four men arrested in three drug cases Wednesday

Four men were arrested in three separate and unrelated drug-related investigations Wednesdasy, Avoyelles Parish Sheriff Doug Anderson reported.

Deputies responding to a citizen complaint of suspected narcotics activity searched the home of Lorenzo Marks, 28, of Cottonport this past Wednesday night. Deputies  seized  substances suspected of beiing crack and powdered cocaine, over 200 pharmaceutical pills, synthentic marijuana and a small quantity of Ecstasy.
 
Anderson said Marks is currently on parole for previous charges of cocaine possession and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was booked into the Avoyelles Detention Center #1 in Marksville on six counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I and II drugs and possession of a Schedule 1 drug. Bond was set at $6,000.
 
Deputies also arrested Antonio Bradford, 28, and Marshal Harris, 40, both of Cottonport, later that night as a result of an unrelated investigation. Both men were charged with distribution of crack cocaine and booked into Detention Center #1. Bradford’s bond was set at $5,000 and Harris’ was set at $4,000.
 
In the third incident, Chad Stewart, 19, of Simmesport was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana after deputies found a quantity of suspected marijuana during a routine field interview in the Simmesport area. Stewart was booked into Detention Center #1 on a charge of possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $1,200.
