All three parish football teams in playoffs

High school football playoffs start in Friday, November 13. Bunkie and Marksville will have home games while Avoyelles will be playing on the road. The official pairings will not be announced until Sunday afternoon and could change if any teams win a last minute appeal from an earlier LHSAA ruling.

As it stands now:

In Class-AA, North Caddo (5-5) and the number 17 seed will visit the Bunkie Panthers (6-4). Bunkie is the 14th seed. North Caddo is from District 1-AA. If Bunkie wins the first round playoff game they will have to travel in the second round.

In Class-AAA, Marksville (7-3) is the 10th seed and is scheduled to Independence (6-4) from District 7-AAA. A win by Marksville would put the Tigers on the road for the second round.

Also in Class-AAA, the Avoyelles Mustangs (4-6) is the 32nd seed and will travel to Lutcher (9-1), the top seed in Class-AAA. If Avoyelles can pull off the major upset, they would host the second round playoff game.

All three games are set for Friday night with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
