Velma Lemoine Rabalais, age 96, of Moreauville

Funeral services for Velma Lemoine Rabalais of Moreauville will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 beginning at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held that morning from 8am until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Burial will commence in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Velma Lemoine Rabalais, age 96, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Hessmer Nursing Home in Hessmer. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul A. Lemoine; husband, Elmo Rabalais; parents, Jules & Leota Lemoine Mattason; brothers, Lester Mattason and Henry Mattason.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lester (Connie) Lemoine of Moreauville, Ray (Debra) Lemoine of Moreauville; sisters, Doris Juneau and Mildred Faul both of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
