Sylvia Rousseau Dupont age 79 of Hessmer

Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Rousseau Dupont will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Belledeau with Father Brian Seiler officiating. Interment will be at Belledeau Baptist Cemetery in Belledeau. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mrs. Dupont, age 79, of Hessmer, passed away at Hessmer Nursing Home in Hessmer on Tuesday, May 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Mable Brouillette Rousseau; husband, Steven Dupont; brothers, Russell Rousseau, Sylvan Rousseau; and sister, Audrey Parker.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Dupont of Hessmer, Kenneth Dupont of Hessmer, Greg Dupont of Tioga; one daughter, Judy Dupont of Hessmer, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before time of service.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel on Wednesday.
