SAMUEL JOSEPH LACHNEY age 68, of Brouillette

Funeral services for Mr. Samuel ‘Sam’ Lachney will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Father Tommy Paul officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Lachney, age 68, of Brouillette passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Joseph Lachney; a son, Brady Paul Lachney and a grandson.

Survivors include 2 sons Justin Lachney of Marksville; Rocky Lachney and his wife Ashlee of Minden. 3 daughters Melissa Lachney of Alexandria; Bridgette Turner and husband Roy of Jonesville and Roxine Lachney of Marksville. His mother Rita Lachney. 2 brothers Terrel Lachney and his wife Lana and Kent Lachney and his wife Ronda. One sister Judy DeCuir and husband Michael. 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Sam was an avid hunter. And enjoyed his time at his camp on 3 rivers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home and will resume at 8:00 a.m. until funeral service on Friday, May 6, 2016.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Terrel Lachney, Roy Turner, Carl Gaspard, Donavon Armand, Michael DuCuir and Clayton Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Kent Lachney, Bubba Chicola, Rocky Lachney and Justin Lachney.
