Russell Normand of Hessmer

Graveside services for Mr. Russell Joseph Normand will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.

Mr. Normand, Age 76 of Hessmer, passed away on Saturday, August 08, 2015 in Alexandria. He was a retired U.S. Army war veteran, serving in Vietnam, Korea, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oden and Zilda Normand, one sister, Wava Jeansonne, and two grandchildren, Stephan Kowalski and Aubrey Normand.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Barton of Chattanooga, TN., Sharon Read of Lafayette, Christine Mayers of Alexandria, three sisters, Narcille Normand of Hessmer, Eloise Prattini of Baker, LA., Ella Jane Prewitt of Jackson, LA., three Brothers, Gene Normand of Alabama, Chester Normand of Hessmer, Oden Normand, Jr. of Hessmar, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
