Mabel Gremillion Brignac, age 63 of Harahan

Mabel Gremillion Brignac passed away on Thursday July14, 2016 in her home in Harahan, LA. She was a resident of Harahan, LA for 63 years. She was born in Plaucheville, LA on June 17, 1924. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louisa Gremillion and Abel Gremillion along with her brother, Hayward Gremillion and two (2) sisters, Floris Lemoine and Emmalou Jeansonne.
She was married to Joseph P. (J.P.) Brignac Sr., for 52 years until his death on May 17, 2005.
She is survived by her sister, Elda Ducote. Beloved mother to her four (4) children, Bruce (Sandy) Brignac, Jacqueline (Jackie) Brignac, Wanda (John) Miller-Briseno and Joseph Brignac, Jr., along with her six (6) grandchildren and five (5) great grandchildren, and two (2) grand cats, Jippy and Lis Lis, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Interim Hospice for the care giving to my mother. Special thank you to Janet Walker. My mother loved her and her wit. Last but not least to Mary Simmons for the loving care of my mother. Her laughter made your troubles go away.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
