Hazel CoCo Rachal, age 89, of Simmesport

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel CoCo Rachal will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Simmesport with Brother Kenneth Austin officiating. Interment will be at First Baptist Cemetery in Simmesport. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Hazel CoCo Rachal, age 89, of Simmesport, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lance and Hannah Deville CoCo; husband, John O. Rachal; sons, Larry Rachal, John Rachal, Bryan Rachal; daughters, Sharon Avants, Sandra Plauche; sisters, Mildred Knoll, Doris Clark; brother, Bobby CoCo; grandsons, David Rachal and Gregory Plauche.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Simmesport for over 60 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She always sported a smile regardless of any adversities she faced in life.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Lula Gaspard of Marksville, Barbara Crawford of Big Bend; brother, Layton CoCo of Big Bend, 13 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Simmesport from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
