Funeral services for Mrs. Gisela Brouillette will be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, 445 West Bontempt Street Marksville, LA 71351 at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015. The family will receive visitors at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Marksville, LA immediately following the service.

Mrs. Brouillette, age 87, of Apex, formerly of Marksville, LA died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Crabtree Valley Rehab Center in Raleigh, NC.

Gisela was born in Koblenz, Germany on April 14, 1928 to Arthur Herpel and Elisabeth Stoll Herpel. She moved to the United States after marrying Gerald Brouillette whereby she officially made America her home. She was a loving wife and mother all the years of her life. She was married to Gerald for 57 years until he died in 2012.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Vanessa B. Yount and her husband, Rick of Cary, NC; and Andrea Kindl and her husband, Mark of Snellville, Ga; a brother, Walter Herpel of Koblenz, Germany; and 5 grandchildren, Jennifer and Lance Kindl; and Richard, Jessa, and Olivia Yount.
