Gary P. Bordelon passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the age of 70. He was a native of Simmesport, LA and a resident of Harahan, LA for the past 15 years. Gary retired as a Lieutenant in 2003 from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. He was a past president of the Blue Knights, 32 degree Master Mason and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Beloved husband of Lisa Fritscher Bordelon. Loving father of Bryan Bordelon (Deborah - the favorite), Philip A. Bordelon, Sr. and Korie Wessinger Gordon (Jack). Grandfather of Angelle Bordelon, Philip "PJ" A. Bordelon, Jr., Mikki Pritchett, Courtney Brown and Travis B. Caldwell. Son of the late Philip and Essie Roy Bordelon. Brother of Clyde Bordelon, Sr. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mona Ball, Charla Hancock and Kelly Quin. Gary will be greatly missed by all, but especially by his wife who has been by his side through it all and knows he'll wait for her. Rest in peace our precious, Daddy, Pookie, Pop, Sparky, Poppie. We'll love you forever.
