Edward “Eddie” John Rabalais age 67, of Pineville

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Edward “Eddie” John Rabalais will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville with Father Dale Meade and Father Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church Mausoleum, Plaucheville.       The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and continued Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Saturday at 7:00 p.m.     Mr. Rabalais, 67, of Pineville, passed from this life on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.   Eddie was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Pineville. During his working career, he was a Doctor of Pharmacy for 45 years. He was a member of the Avoyelles Parish School Board for 18 years. Eddie was a member of ACTS, Knights of Columbus (3rd Degree) and Holy Name Society. He also spent many years leading and mentoring youth through CCD Programs, TEC Retreats and Steubenville. Eddie loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren cooking his famous gumbo and jambalaya for family and friends.     He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Telsie Guillory Rabalais and sisters, Darlene Rabalais and Kathleen Rabalais.   Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Sherry Ducote Rabalais; sons, Leo Rocky Riche and wife Raquel Pike Riche, Toby Michael Rabalais and wife, Tricia Truly Rabalais and Mark Edward Rabalais and wife, Mia Hebert Rabalais; daughters, Jody Rabalais Goodman and Leah Louise Ford and husband, Robert Ford, Jr.; brothers, John Rabalais, Darrell Rabalais and Wayne Rabalais; sister, Susan Harris; grandchildren, Haleigh and Isabelle Riche, Cody Ford, Christine “JoJo”, John Curtis and Jamie Goodman, Mclaine and Vivienne Rabalais and a host of other family members and friends.
