HICKORY HILL - Funeral services for Earl “Dunnie” Joseph Jacobs, Sr. will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. in the Starlight Baptist Church in Hickory Hill. Burial will take place in the Starlight Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. Saturday morning until time of service.
“Dunnie,” age 72, resident of Marksville, died November 23, 2016 at the Oakhaven Community Care Center in Centerpoint. He was born on April 25, 1943.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clardy and Clara (Desselle) Jacobs; brother, Alfred Jacobs; and a grandchild, Enjolie Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Dawn Pendergraff Jacobs of Marksville; daughters, Nichole Jacobs of Alexandria, Jasmine Jacobs of Marksville and Rosalie Grant of Kansas City, Missouri.; sons, Preston Jacobs of Marksville, Earl Jacobs, Jr. of Overland Park, Kansas, and Paul Jacobs of Colorado; sisters, Anita Jacobs Holley of Flint, Michigan, Christine Gilbert of Flint, Michigan and Florence Jacobs of Flint, Michigan; brothers, Gilbert Jacobs, “Suman” Jacobs of Flint, Michigan and Clardy Jacobs, Jr. of Flint, Michigan; and 15 grandchildren.
