MARKSVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Corrine D. Guillot will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville with Father Rusty Rabalais officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume at 8 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Guillot, age 98, of Fifth Ward, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born on June 27, 1918. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Fifth Ward.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Frazie Guillory Dauzat; husband, Ervin J. Guillot; brother, Eugene Dauzat; sister, Eunice Dauzat; great-grandson, Brandon Harrell; and son-in-law Nolan Paul Couvillion.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vergielean Couvillion of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will be John C. Couvillion, Bradley Paul Harrell, Kevin B. Harrell, Brent Bordelon, Grady Gagnard, Donnie Gagnard, Ralph Bordelon, Steven Dauzat, Jamie Bordelon, Chris Bernard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Gagnard and Eugene Dauzat.
