Bernie ''Brotch'' Rabalais age 80 of Plaucheville

Funeral services for Bernie ''Brotch'' Rabalais of Plaucheville will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 beginning at 11am at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 beginning at 5pm until 10pm and will reopen Wednesday morning at 8am until the time of service at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport. Interment will commence in the Mater Dolorosa Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Bernie ''Brotch'' Rabalais, age 80, passed away on Monday, March 07, 2016 at Avoyelles Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville James & Kelly Rabalais; sisters, Alice Galland, Florence Rabalais; brother, J.R. Rabalais Jr.; son, Matthew Clark Rabalais.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Burnell J. Rabalais of Plaucheville; son, Scott J Rabalais (Tina) of Plaucheville; daughters, Phobe Rabalais of Plaucheville, Vicki Dufour (Shawn) of Plaucheville; sisters, Margaret Ortego (Gene) of Plaucheville, Theresa Knott of Plaucheville, and Myrna Lukas of Livonia, MI. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Those honored to be pallbearers are, Derek Rabalais, Jacob Rabalais, Logan Dufour, Shane Mills, Dusty Rabalais, Drew Rabalais and three Honorary pallbears, Hayden Dufour, Chase Messer, and Carter Rabalais.
