Benita Ducote Roule age 72 of Mansura

Funeral services for Benita Ducote Roule of Mansura will take place on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport beginning at 10:00am. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm, and will resume on Wednesday morning at 8:00am. Burial will commence at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery #2.

Benita Roule, age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at the Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. She was born in Cottonport on July 4, 1943 and was a life-long Avoyelles Parish resident. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crossword puzzles and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Roule; parents, Jules & Myrtle Ducote; brothers, Russell, Victor, and Nelson Ducote.

She is survived by her children, Brian Roule of Mansura, Stephanie Roule of Hessmer, Laurie Roule Ducote (Todd) of Hessmer, Torie Roule of Bossier City; her brother, Gerald Ducote of Cheneyville. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Ducote, Chelsey Bowman, Lauren Ducote, Rachel Ducote, Carley Bordelon, Amber Bordelon, Ashleigh Bordelon, Sarah Bordelon, Mia Roule, Emily Bordelon and Mallory Bordelon; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
