Texas man arrested for theft of a Bunkie business

According to Sheriff Doug Anderson, John Valley, 36 years old of Spring Texas was arrested early Wednesday morning on a warrant charging him with Theft of more than $25,000.00. According to Sheriff Anderson his investigators were notified in June by a Bunkie business owner that the business entered into a contract with Valley doing business as Prosperity Sound Solutions of Houston, Tx. to purchase furniture and equipment for the Bunkie based business.
Anderson said investigators combed through business records and invoices and discovered the business checks issued to Valley and designated for the payment of furniture and equipment were deposited into John Valley’s personal banking account. The Bunkie business did not receive any of the items which were allegedly purchased by Valley.
Sheriff Anderson further explained investigators also found invoices which allegedly were altered and submitted to the Bunkie business falsely documenting payments for items purported to have been purchased by Valley for the contracted job.
Valley was arrested and booked into APSO DC1 on the charge of Theft of more than $25,000.00. His bond is set at $100,000.00.
