Presidential primary election this Saturday

Only registered Democrats and Republicans are eligible to vote in 'closed primary' balloting

The Presidential preference primary for the Democratic and Republican parties will be this Saturday, March 5.
Early voting was held this past week, ending Feb. 27.
This is a “closed” primary, meaning voting is restricted to those who are registered in one of the two major parties. Democrats can only vote in the Democratic primary and Republicans can only vote in the Republican primary.
“Cross over” voting is not allowed in the Louisiana primary.
Eligible voters should go to their regular polling place to cast their ballot for the candidate they want nominated by their party for the Presidential election in November.
