Marksville falls in state quarterfinals to Lutcher, 35-28

The #5 seeded Marksville Tigers fell behind the #4 seeded Lutcher Bulldogs 29-0 before they roared to cut the Lutcher lead to 29-22. The Bulldogs then hung on for a 35-28 win in the Class-AAA football quarterfinals. Marksville ended the season at 11-2 snapping an 11-game win streak. Lutcher improved to 11-2 and advanced to the state semifinals where they will face #1 seeded West Feliciana next Friday night in St. Francisville.
