APSO releases report on suspected pipe bomb

FOUR BUNKIE RESIDENTS ARRESTED ON BOMB MAKING CHARGES
According to Sheriff Doug Anderson four Bunkie residents have been arrested by deputies and charged with 1 count each of “Manfacture and possession of a delayed action incendiary device”after a search warrant executed by deputies at their home located at 251 Percy Aymond Rd., Bunkie, revealed a suspected pipe bomb and other bomb making material.
Sheriff Anderson said that Jenus C. Juneau, age 38, was suspected of a felony theft in the Cottonport area on Sunday the 4th. It was alledged by the complainant that he and possibly others stole approximatley $12,000.00 worth of household goods, guns and jewlery from the complainant. Deputies working the case tracked Juneau to the residence of 251 Percy Aymond. An arrest warrant charging Juneau with Theft and a search warrant for the Percy Aymond residence was obtained by A.P.S.O. Jenus Juneau was arrested at the residence on the Theft charge and deputies began the search of the residence. Many of the items reported stolen in the Cottonport incident were recovered inside the Juneau home. Sheriff Anderson said that during the search process a deputy looked into a backpack and immediatley saw what was described as a “pipebomb” and other, what was believed to be bomb making material inside the bag.
The scene was immediatley cleared and a safe zone established around the area. LSP/Haz Mat/Emergency Services Section responded and exploded the device on the scene later that evening. According to the LSP, ATF and FBI personnel on the scene the device had the potential to kill or maim if detonated.
The following individuals were arrested :
Jenus C. Juneau, 38 y.o.a. – Theft, Manfacture and possession of delayed action incendiary device.
Kaije Juneau, 19 y.o.a. - Manfacture and possession of delayed action incendiary device.
Jenus Irvin Juneau, 19 y.o.a.- Manfacture and possession of delayed action incendiary device.
Kristina Juneau, 40 y.o.a.- Manfacture and possession of delayed action incendiary device.
Bond is set at $50,000.00 for Jenus Juneau and $40,000.00 each on all others.
