State Police arrest Oklahoma man on sex charges

An Oklahoma man was arrested in Alexandria Tuesday on several sex-related charges involving juveniles, a State Police spokesman said.
Shawn L. Lindsey, 43, of Mangum, Okla., was arrested following an investigation by the State Police Special Victims Unit in Alexandria. He was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, solicitation of prostitution, prostitution involving juveniles and crimes against nature by solicitation.
Lindsey was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center under a $400,000 bond. The case is still under investigation, an LSP spokesman said.
The unit began its investigation earlier this month, centering on an online ad soliciting sex. As the investigation continued, Lindsey began asking for sex with an adult and a juvenile. He also conveyed his interest in performing several heinous sexual acts with the juvenile.
At the time of his arrest, Lindsey had several “deviant sexual items” in his possession, State Police reported.
LSP said investigators have reason to believe there may be other victims in Louisiana and in other states. Investigators are asking that  anyone who believes they may be a victim of Lindsey, or anyone with information regarding possible victims, to contact LSP at 318-487-5099.
