Stafford, Greenhouse to be arraigned Tuesday

Derrick Stafford and Norris Greenhouse Jr. will be in 12th Judicial District Court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to enter their pleas to the charges of 2nd-degree murder and attempted 2nd-degree murder.
The two part-time Marksville City Marshal’s deputies were arrested Nov. 6, three days after they were accused of chasing Chris Few to a dead end street and firing 20 bullets into his stopped vehicle. Few was severely wounded and his 6-year-old son, Jeremy Mardis, was killed in the barrage.
Greenhouse was released on a $1 million property bond on Nov. 24.  Stafford’s motion to have his $1 million bond reduced to as low as $150,000 was denied by District Judge Billy Bennett on Dec. 17.
Arraignment includes the reading of the indictment or indictments against an individual and the entering of their plea to each charge.
